dancing queen

check out my dancing buddy right in the middle of time square. i saw him the day before with a red top and leather skirt dancing his ass off right in the middle of traffic on time square. the next day i brought my camera to work with me and snapped these pictures as i was rushing to catch a train back to long island. didn't have time to follow and wait for him to shake his booty. check out the double take the man in red shirt gave to my buddy.

boubou

one of my student came to class wearing a traditional attire from mali which is called boubou (i think). since i had my camera with me, i asked for permission from the class to snap few pictures.

grass steps

my laptop is finally fixed and hopefully it doesn't disappoint me for the next 2 years or so. anyway, i worked at the watermill center few weeks ago and helped to rebuild the grass steps heading towards the entrance of the center. they had to dig a big hole right in the middle of the grass area in order to locate the septic tank and then we were given about 3 days to put it back together just in time for the benefit. i was only there on the last day which happened to be the day of the benefit. it was a crazy day but we were able to put everything together just in time before the first guest arrived.

king-da-ka

by the way, found this picture taken when i was on king-da-ka at six flags lasy year. i didn't even know that i have this picture. i think i closed my eyes all the way up and down the ride, and hold on to my seat like there's no tomorrow. just look at that kadazan man's face. man, that was crazy. by the way, the girl behind started screaming even before the ride started.

sticky & sweet tour

kadazan man is going to watch madonna in concert in october. i got two tickets to watch her concert at the meadowland. didn't think that i would get it because the ticket went on sale in the morning at 9 am while i was at work. came home and i thought and said to myself, "cuba, cuba sajalah. mana tau dapat satu pun cukup gembiralah". aiyoo, instead of one i got two. gembira tak terhingga. hey, i know its the cheapest seat but who cares, at least i could say "i was there" to everyone the day after the concert.

summer time - battery park

i went to battery park on friday evening just to check out things that were going on down there. i know there are normally plenty of concerts, shows or exhibitions going on especially in the summer. i ran into a drum playing class where i found out that you can borrow drums from the park managementor bring your own and join the class. i think they call it the Sunset Jam on the Hudson. at one time, i was sitting on the park bench checking my bag when all of a sudden i heard people running from behind me. i turned around and saw this wall of people coming towards me, jumping over the bench like mad cows. it turned out to be somekind of travelling show or play. i think it is called something like "Shakespeare in the park". apparently, audience had to run after or follow the actors whenever they go and use various location in the park as the backdrop of their play. last but not least, saw one of the waterfall, which is an art installation that will be on display until october. didn't feel like walking towards the brooklyn bridge to check out the other 3 waterfalls. i decided to do that next time.

madoo

went to visit the madoo garden yesterday afternoon. took few pictures and had a nice and relaxing afternoon on july 4 weekend. what more could you ask for.
